I don't get why he would take a train from Munich to Berlin to then get a flight to Frankfurt instead of just going straight to Frankfurt from Munich.
Other then 120hz on the base model I thought this was the most boring iPhone launch in a long while. Almost nothing new. That’s isn’t just an os update also coming to older models. I’ll keep my 15 pro max another year. So I also liked this year. Saves me money. AirPods Pro 3 might be the one exception.
Linus, regarding the Corsair lawsuit you mention around 48m, I think this is the type of case where you or someone in your industry should be testifying as the resident expert. I 100% agree. In many areas, we accept specs based on some known expertise locally that the vendor can’t guarantee. Car parts I think are a good comparison, the industry and its consumers accept that there’s some baseline knowledge to achieve what is advertised. I work with system integrators and we see this all the time with their specs, they advertise certain things and give some baseline system that meets those specs with the understanding that someone needs to know how to configure a BIOS to get that interface operating at spec, or some third-party package needs to be installed to use some feature of the system. I see Louis doing this type of advocacy for right to repair, this system expertise is your area to advocate for.
With all of that said, I feel like this issue is compatible in magnitude to Google v. Java SE.
I’m not a lawyer, but this type of legislative explicitness seems to me like it would require entire systems to be fully documented and it’s not clear where that documentation would stop. For example, how can I guarantee a refrigerator operates at spec? If GE has to define how the electric circuit is implemented, do they then need to also start discussing the electric grid, or how the grid is allowed to shift for the appliance to operate in spec? What about the water supply line? Does the temperature and pressure need to be explicitly defined by the manufacturer for the builder along with the particulates in the water itself?
At some point, manufacturers have to design their product with some ambiguity and assumptions based on their markets. They currently use consumer feedback, recalls, and previous lawsuits to optimize their designs for the consumers they target.
So someone expecting a stick of memory to operate at 5600MT/s on a CPU from 2000 is pretty unreasonable. There has to be some expectation of research or expertise to integrate a new component or risk that manufacturers can expect consumers to have because the alternative is that vendors have to explicitly test and define every combination of the system from the software to the hardware to the electrical infrastructure to the water particulates for the water cooler. It’s just a never ending pointing of fingers and at some pint, you have to say, “we develop DDR5 RAM. We manufacture chips to the IEEE XXX.x specification and these are the tests to prove we meet that spec. We advertise XYZ system specs because it is guaranteed that we meet those specs on this system because of ABC benchmarks.”
End of story. But again, you are the subject matter expert here, this is your fight and now that they’ve targeted this area, someone has to start talking to the court about this. Sure, things could probably be improved, but the precedent here at least to my untrained eye, seems endless
The new AirPods Pro have memory foam cores to the tips to help them stay in you ears.

Regards from Bulgaria. If you really come here all trains and plains have delay here lol
Wait? Did Luke take a train vom Munich to Berlin only then to fly to Frankfurt? What?
bro the merch message at 1:01:30 😂
Recommend someone: ATH-50X or MSR7b?
The suggested share is insane.
I share 99.9% of anything to one of many whatsapp groups
Yet the suggest bar is
Whatsapp: my parterner
Whatsapp: a random group
Sms: random contact
Sms: my dad
Sms: random contact.
And then a bunch of outlook suggestions.
I have never used the share to either sms or outlook. Never sinds i have owned this phone.
And outlook isnt even my default email client anymore
Wait, 4pm BULGARIAN time? Bulgaria mentioned woohoo!
Anyone has timing for the iphone section? Edit: @ 14:30
@luke Why didn't you fly from Frankfurt or Munich directly to Vancouver. Going from Munich to Berlin via train just to catch a plane to Vancouver (via Frankfurt) is rough 😀
38:22 – I'm a Paramedic, I use it all of the time at work. Having an always on screen that shows seconds (for counting a pulse — can't always trust a monitor.) is a huge help. As well as 9-1-1 assignments coming through on my phone and having that information on my wrist is helpful. (Disclosure: I wrote the software that makes that happen.)
As far as the Corsair lawsuit goes, I actually think it has merit. Having to change your BIOS settings to get the advertised speed is pretty dodgy and it's not uncommon that even doing that (enabling XMP/DOCP) can result in instability, forcing you to lower the clock speed.
I think the speed advertised should be a range: "out of the box speed to XMP/DOCP speed" and come with instructions reminding you that you will need to go into your BIOS and enable XMP/DOCP to increase speed above the out of the box speed. It should also state that raising the RAM speed up to a max of XMP/DOCP speed does not void your RAM's warranty (if they don't explicitly state this, they shouldn't be allowed to quote the XMP/DOCP speed).
The fact that no-one in the RAM industry does what I've suggested doesn't mean that they are correct – it is very misleading to only advertise a speed that a) is not the speed you get when you initially install the RAM and b) may not be attainable anyway due to instability issues. The RAM industry is wrong in the way it advertises RAM speeds and I hope the lawsuit forces a change.

You were in Bulgaria?! Awesome!
It's crazy how Linus think Celebrities are omnipresent at all. I don't even recognize a single celebrity name and could never tell you how they look or what they played besides maybe somebody like Will Smith, but I've seen him last in Man in Black 1.
YoooooLuke was in my home town. Damn It could have been incredible to take a selfie while wearing my Luke Nukem shirt. Damn. Sorry he had such a crappy experience. Sadly I'm not surprised.
Why do people complain about the camera bump for ultra thin phones? Are you holding your phone by the camera?
People want thin phones because they look and feel cool. Who cares if the 10% you aren’t holding is slightly thicker to fit the internal components?
Luke going from Munich to Berlin by train (4-5h depending connection) and flying from Berlin to Frankfurt?
Munich -> Frankfurt has direct 3h trains 😅
"…Bulgarian time" – now I am intrigued
Color change armpits 😮
We learned about that issue in the 1980's with hypercolor T's 😂

It’s Aluminium, not Aluminum! Please stop beim stupid.
It's aluminium with i.
I put my AirPod pros behind my ear like that too. Not for very long or doing anything significant, but do it.
14:58 to be fair? I guess to Apple, it was titanium rails only now it is aluminum Unibody. The air most likely has titanium rails, so it doesn’t bend in half because it’s so thin.
The iPhone 18 will be made in wood. Aluminium is not cool then.
No one seems to care about S25 Edge and people are nuts about the even more compromised iphone Air.
German trains, oddly enough they actually got better, when I first moved in two years ago 50 minutes of daily commuting could easily become 3 hours
Is anyone getting their AirPods Pro 3 on the 19th?
Bruh my Poco x7 pro has 12gb of ram, 1tb of it's 4.0 storage. Wipes the floor with my s23
Who really cares about video palyback time on their phone (given it is 10hrs+)? What matters to me is web browsing, audio playback and standby time.
Iphone 17 pro max its just the same as iphone 16 pro max no big difference except if your are a gamer you need the VAPOR CHAMMMMMMBBBBEEERRR
WHERE’S THE MINI?!?!?!?!?????
2:56:21 The plane can travel 8,000 nanometers 🤣
Linus is so advertising/celebrity-damaged and Luke lives such a peaceful life xD
Titaaaaniiiiuuuuummmmm 😂😂😂😂😂
BULGARIA MENTIONED!!!!! 🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬
They do sell laundry robots. Its called your kids!
Imagine getting celebrity awareness tutoring from the wan-show!
(I thought Kutcher was the disgraced member of the that '70s show cast, not the other guy.)
Many people know so much about pop culture it's scary. Makes me wonder what I use that space for. 😂
