Comments

  1. You should upgrade their WiFi by hardwiring everything

  2. I remember GLinet when it was a baby 😅

  3. 4:04 – Not entirely true! I actually have a few favorites for each system:
iOS: Airport app — simple, but shows channels and RSSI clearly.
    macOS: NetSpot
    Linux: Kismet
    Windows: inSSIDer

  4. The "Canadian" head bob caught me so off guard. 😂

  5. i like how she still just has the one speaker lmao

  6. Linus got braces???

  7. For stationary devices, I do not understand why wifi is used, there are many ways other than running wired connections through walls, that can give a much stronger and reliable connection and cut down on excess traffic for others at the same time. Stop being lazy, leave wifi for mobile devices only. There is very few situations that you can't run wired in some way, it literally comes down to laziness.

  8. Not a great look to promote the Comet for work computer links without mentioning that it will quite likely get you fired from any company with decent network security.

  9. Was this a just because it was sponsored suggestion? or Is this something i should be looking at over something previously suggested like ubiquiti?

  10. bro i am living with 12mbps 😩

  11. you should never use WIFI FFS!!!!! use a physical Ethernet cable capable of up to 10G!!!

  12. that congested im running cable.

  13. Her old wifi speeds are better than anything I have ever had in Australia 🥲🥲🥲

  14. We need cantennas.

  15. where is that wallpaper from?

  16. It's either I'm getting dejavu or I've watched this video before..
    Any idea anyone..?

  17. That reminds me that everything i use is connected to 2.5ghz xd (we have finctioning 5g) also amazing piano skills linus

  18. The number of people on our local community group that have cabled homes and shove their router in the metal box in the garage is ridiculous. Amazes me how many people do this then complain their Internet js slow and blame the retailers.

  19. The title should’ve been ”I can fix her (internet)”

  20. Elijah is always great

  21. @4:34 I could hear Linus sing Three 6 Mafia – Hard Out Here for a Pimp

  22. Hahaha the before speeds are better than I've ever seen anywhere in Australia. I'm near Sydney on a 1000mb package and get far less than these before speeds

  23. That's whyI have all my PC's wired. Got all my cables hidden in my skirting-boards around my appartement way more stable. the only thing on my wi-fi are my notebook, mobile and my cleaning robot. By the way haven't had any issue with the outage of AWS.

  24. Hi Linus, can you make a video about the current state of gaming on Mac. I know it still can't compare to a PC but it would be fun to see how far it has gotten with price/performance

  25. 5:03 I mean I know she is a bike girl but is she also a car girl cause she’s just like me for real with the PC wallpaper backgrounds mines from need for speed and I’m pretty sure hers is too or at least the vibe is the same but I preferred JDM cars in there instead 😅

  26. Fix AWS

  27. ltt should feature its ex workers like elijah via contractual route

  28. I'LL Stick to using ethernet that has more bandwith than i'll ever need.

  29. Showing off an AP with all the antennas pointed in the same direction actually demonstrates a very common mistake. Please look up WiFi NSS and Antenna Diversity

  30. just a little premature unplugulation

  31. I've literally been looking for that specific video pimp my wifi for nearly a month haha it was the VERY first LTT video I ever watched!!!

  32. Fun and explaining as well, what's not to like!
    Thanks for that video!

  33. Enjoyed this one

  34. At least for stationary PCs, go and set up a cable. Its so much better.

  35. There's also another option….use wired for pc and wireless for all iot devices….in that way there will be much less ping and high speed internet for all the pcs….

  36. i have a Gl-inet router, good device

  37. You could probably also play with stuff like channel width to tweak performance a lil. I was going to suggest setting the router to a slice of the spectrum that isn't being used that much (you'd be shocked how many times routers aren't set to use the higher end of the 5 and 6 GHz spectrum), and then I saw the 30+ wifi networks.

  38. Wifi is shite fi, wired is the one true way.

  39. lol, the dramatization of 'over 30 wifi networks!!!' when i just counted 84 from my living room. send h̶e̶l̶p̶ wifi

  40. Have to say — the editing, transition cuts (LS diving into the next scene) and quips in this video are soooo fun. Might be too jumpy for some, but definitely made me laugh more than usual.

  41. 0:09 classic, I still tell that one to this day after seeing the short😭

  42. My friend loves their security focused travel router whenever they go on international trips or cruises, especially when the cruise locks rooms to 1 or 2 devices per plan

  43. The best my local telco can offer is "Up To" 3Mbps down / 500 kbps up…at $75/mo. and this is in the middle of the city, NOT out in the boonies. in 2025.

  44. The original Google WiFi pucks showcased here also support wired backhaul, just for the record.
