The company is continuously on the brink of collapse, the car still does not exist since production has been delayed many times. Their Stock $SEV has crashed 95% already. And now they are once more begging their “community” for new money.
Strong suggestion: Better stay away from this pseudo-company.
liking this could be a hit. I hope it does well in Europe, I know it fits more of the car stereotype down there than the states.
Exactly Excellent Idea my sentiments
This is just a Scion without the c…arbon.
ANGLO-AMERICAN oil companies, which own governments, created their latest oil-war in Ukraine & Russia, and they also do all they can to prevent cars like Sono-Sion from reaching production !!!! Around 30 years ago, oil companies forced car companies to ban carborateurs, because mechanics in USA had started to improvise USA-cars with Tom-Ogle-Carburators, which reduced fuel consumption to 100 kilometers per one liter of gasoline/bensin for a 2-ton car. !!!! Nowadays, cars only have injectors and could NOT be modified with the Ogle-invention !!!
Sion 🤣😂 no chance
They should accent the car in white around the panels. Gives color options and also doesn't absorb as much light/heat in unnecessary places
Buying into this stock now
Nice car. Looks like it was designed 10 years ago but it's definitely a good idea for future mobility!
Also uhm Black reflects Sunlight away from the target solar cells so uhm why would they paint it Black?
To predict which dye solution absorbs the highest energy photon, you need to know which color has the highest energy. Among the ROYGBV spectrum, violet has the highest energy. Thus, its complementary color Yellow absorbs the highest energy photon. Thus paint it Yellow
Maybe they should use the name Sonos ion cause their is Toyota using the name Scion and enunciated it sounds exactly the same whether it's spelled the same way or not they might aught be concerned about getting sued
Ich habe mir Aktien von Sono Motors bei der nasdaq gesichert. Solare Elektroautos gehört die Zukunft.
Ich habe einen reserviert und freue mich schon total drauf.
Soon… Yeah good one!
Replace the windows with transparent solar panels
I just discovered a new OCD. Shadows blocking the solar panels
First sentence of this video is too elitist
Love it. Want it. But I hope Sono Motors has a plan for collision repair…I would imagine even the slightest ding to be pretty pricey not to mention the potential back order on body parts. Having said that, I'd still buy one!
Imagine if a Ford Transit EV had a solar roof to help with charging when you were at work or as a range extender or even to keep it topped off on cold days.
😎👍Sono is good!!
Aptera gets you 40 miles a day, 250 mile range starting at $25,900
I hope more car Industries will take the solar idea.
This car should and deserve more attention!
You can fake Zion but it don’t work!!!!❤
Man he sounds so condescending about the whole thing the fact that you're getting free range for this car is amazing great for the environment and the fact that really most of us don't drive that far especially if you live close to work 10 miles of range per day without needing to charge or buy gasoline I may only have to charge this car every month or two if my main use is for work and running occasional errands oh look we're having another sunny day no need to plug in I'll just park in the Sun looks like I may have to plan extra trips just to use up all of this free energy finally we can afford to go see people again and not just be trapped in our homes maybe even actually take a vacation
But I hate parking my car in the Sun. It gets too hot 🔥
Is this Chinese? I will never buy anything Chinese
It checks all the boxes for me. I drive a 2012 i-MiEV here in (perpetually sunny) southern Arizona. Mitsubishi gave me a new traction battery under warranty a couple years ago, which will take me into the middle of the decade when the Sion (hopefully) will be sold in the US. The bigger LFP battery in the Sion – and the ability to simply have it parked outside on a sunny day to charge – means I'll probably never have to plug it in. If anything, I'll probably want to drain off much of the battery via the V2L that this car offers. I like the practical no BS styling and utility. If they can keep the price to around $25K, they've got me as a customer.
This will kill as a 'second car' is sunny climates….
Finally ECOCAR
For me, this is a perfect Honda Fit/Jazz replacement; basic, affordable, practical, dependable. What more could you ask for! Well done Sono, watch out Honda!
I have a Aptera Reservation but with the LiFePO4 battery in this one as opposed to the NMC and the ability to use the power from the battery AND have 4 doors I might have Just Changed my Mind……🧐
Those body panels can't be cheap to mass produce.
Now I’m conflicted, Aptera or Sono Sion? What do you all vote for?
Sono Motors did a similar tour around Europe 2017 promising the car in 2019. Still no Sion. There won't be a Sion if Sono won't get half a billion dollars. Look at their SEC filings from a few weeks ago. They need 125 million to survive this year, 125 more to reach start of production. 100 more to produce the cars that have been reserved at a bargain price with deposit. 100 more for Valmet for tools to produce the car in volume. Sono is valued at 120 million by the shareholders.
Their solar calculations are pure phantasy. The solar array on their last prototype just had an anemic yield.
This would be an amazing concept for fleet vehicles where efficiency is key… and while performance/looks aren’t
use IR solar cells then it doesnt need to me in direct sunlight
