But theres a kindle app for your already fully colour tablets ? Can you not read these on those ? why would I choose a kindle over the A16 iPad? unless you want to travel lighter but if its going to be used at home surely the iPads a better choice?

Kiddo crushed it! script is pretty good and hosting works pretty well for a first timer, especially at his age! there's a bit of stiffness to the presentation but reading off a teleprompter is a skill that takes time to get used to doing naturally so first a first real attempt this is insanely good! Papa Linus has every reason to be proud!

Nice Job Sebastian! However: As nice as these devices are, Amazon Kindle is an awful and completely locked down ecosystem. Amazon has been spending a lot of effort over the years to prevent anyone from reading purchased ebooks on other readers. In the end you don’t really own those books and you’re forced to stay completely locked into the platform. So there’s a pretty big downside to these devices. That aside from Amazon being generally a bad player who squeezes struggling booksellers.
When I was younger I was less critical of the big companies but as I get older this bugs me more, that’s why I mention it. (Sorry, old geezer here)
