There is a lot of misinformation in this video.
    1. Keeping your framerate uncapped will result in less tearing (especially with high refresh rate monitors), and less input lag BUT ONLY WHEN YOU ARE GPU LIMITED. So cap your framerate when you are CPU limited.
    2. Cap your FPS to your monitors refresh rate not 3fps less!!! The whole point of capping your framerate is to get a very smooth experience. Which means to not have any micro stutters and have good consistent frametimes and frame pacing. To do this set your fps cap to your monitors refreshrate or a multiple of that number. (eg: for a 240hz monitor 120fps or 240fps or 480fps)
    3. Cap your fps to a value that your pc can consistanty produce in the game you are playing. If you are dipping into the 120s all the time don't cap it to 144 as it doesn't make sense. But if your pc can't spit out more frames than your monitors refresh rate you are better off not capping it at all unless you are heavily cpu limited.
    4. Don't use any FPS cap. While all fps capping solutions will cap your fps the frametimes are very important too and most of these tools don't care about that. Most fps capping solutions built into games are CRAP. Don't use them. The fps cap built into nVIDIA control panel is not bad…. but it's not the best. It will produce very consistent frametimes with some games (eg: R6S) but it will perform horribly in others (eg: Apex). I recomend you use RTSS (Riva tuner statistics server). You can download it with MSI afterburner and delete afterburner if you don't need it. RTSS works perfectly without it. (Bonus tip for apex legends players: make sure to use +fps_max 300 in launch options because Apex caps your fps to your monitors refresh rate but with horribly inconsistent frametimes.)
    5. About audio settings in games, always look for night mode or something like that as it will give you the most competitive advantige. It's usually the mode with the most audio compression but to simplify it: Quiet sounds = louder (footsteps and things) Loud sounds = quieter (explosions and gunshots).
    6. LOOK FOR A RAW INPUT OPTION IN THE CONTROL SETTINGS OF THE GAME YOU ARE PLAYING AND TURN IT ON!!! (How did he miss this???)
Bonus tip: Nvidia reflex = On if you are GPU limited, and Nvidia reflex = On + Boost if you are CPU limited.

  31. AMD user fuming lol
