I wanted to get your take on the photo quality and sharpness of the latest iPhone models. I’m trying to understand, from an objective standpoint, whether there is a real, significant improvement compared to older models, or if it’s mostly a marketing gimmick and a trend just to get people to run out and buy the new phone.I am currently using an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Over time, I haven’t found a smart reason to spend around $1,200 on a new device, because I just don't see a real change that justifies it, especially when looking at other competitors in the market.My question focuses on a very specific scenario: focusing on a distant object, taking the photo, and then trying to zoom in or crop into the captured image to read small objects or details inside it.The best example of what I mean is this: imagine someone standing at a bus stop waiting for their bus, but they can't read the numbers on the schedule from afar. They open the camera, zoom all the way in, take a picture, and then open the photo to check the number.On competing Galaxy devices, you can see the numbers perfectly in this situation. On the other hand, with iPhones (at least older models), the moment you try to focus inside the photo after shooting, the digital processing creates a blurry, smeared mess, and you can’t make out anything.Objectively speaking—with the latest models (like the new Pro Max)—does the 48-megapixel camera actually deliver much better sharpness when focusing and zooming from a distance? Or does the digital processing still disappoint and smear the details? Is the change minor, or is it a genuine upgrade that is actually worth the purchase???
Every year, I wish with all my heart that they bring back Touch ID, but they never do 😢

Im trading in my 15 pro max for $1100 and will get a 17 pro max. The 18pro max isnt exciting to me at all and i coukd care less about pictures when they are all clear to me lol. Ill wait until next year to get the 20th anniversary iphone. I am going to probably buy the Duo just because but idk yet.

4:43 Ofc the variable aperture in that test wouldn’t show too much of a difference, you were way too far from the camera! It’s still a phone buddy lol but a closer portrait, that in fact it doesn’t even need to be that close, you’re gonna get a way creamier background! My 17 pro max’s can visibly blur the background of a photo taken 1.2 meters from the subject!
I honestly don’t understand why some Android/Samsung users always seem to get so upset whenever Apple releases a new iPhone. 😂 There’s a reason why so many content creators, influencers, and professionals choose to use iPhones—it’s not just about the logo or the hype. The overall experience, especially with iOS, the camera, video quality, ecosystem, and how seamlessly everything works together, is hard to beat. I’ve personally tried both iPhone and Android, and for me, iOS is just so much better. It’s smoother, more consistent, and simply fits the way I use my phone. Of course, Android has some great features too, but after using both, I know which one I prefer. The only non-Apple product I regularly use is my Garmin watch, and that’s for a very specific reason: I’m an ultrarunner. Garmin is simply the better choice for my training, GPS, battery life, and endurance activities. Other than that, I’m pretty much all-in on the Apple ecosystem.
