So I've bought an MSI MAG X570s tomahawk and a Ryzen 7 5800x but the motherboard box says 5000 series desktop ready. Am I still recommend to flash a BIOS to the motherboard before building?

i have an ASUS prime b550-plus motherboard and a ryzen 5 3600. Do I need to upgrade my BIOS?
I am getting the asus tuf gaming x570 and have the ryzen 7 3700. It was my understanding that with this chip I would be able to update the bios. This is my first build can you please tell me if this will work
its honestly really dumb that motherboard manufacturers would send these out to the average consumer this way in the first place. That's one decision about the 5000 series I didn't understand.

Hi, its stated that the CPU upIink for any B550 is pcie 3 where as the X570 is pcie 4.
I have : Ryzen 9 5900x + RX 6800XT and scoring other parts. Should I go for B550? (This CPU uplink of pcie 3 on B550 has put me in doubts to opt for it)
Will be using only 1 GPU + 1 nvme M2 SSD for pcie 4.
Kindly recommend what will be the effect of cpu uplink of pcie 3 over pcie4 (on X570)

My motherboard had a reset bios button but none of the USB slots are labeled BIOS. Can I pick any USB slot to insert the flash?
Would have been nice to know this before I tried to upgrade my cpu. Didn’t look into any of this until the computer just didn’t boot.

Just completed building mu Ryzen powered PC 2 days ago, my First after 12 Years. Youtube should have recommended this video much earlier as i was stuck with the BIOS problem for a night. Now its all up and running.

If you're someone who wants to store something like family photos/video, or important files then a archival grade DVD is a great option.
Won't go bad like a HD and last longer then a SSD. So yes even with all this tech now a days still gotta keep around the optical drive.
I flashed a mother my board and got arrested
i tried to update my Asus MOtherboard for an i9 11900K processor. the bios button lighted up and blinked until it was done. i thoguht it worked but when i build my pc on the table (not in the case), and i tried to boot up my pc, after 5 seconds it turned itself off and after 5 seconds on again and again and again.
even if my bios are fully updated do i still need to do what he did prior to attaching gpu and cpu and cpu cooler which was doing the bios usb thing??
how do i know how mush wattage for the power supply i need?
so at the point where hes reading the manual to do the bios stuff and u need a usb for it. i only need to do this IF for some reason the bios isnt updated?

I saw this too late lol but thank you for the explanation. Going to try to get an older ryzen now… maybe the one from my old pc will work?
