  1. Huge thank you to everyone who submitted automations! If you want your automations in a future video, send them to smarthomesolver at gmail (full submission info in the description)

Also big thanks to Praul Hubert for reminding me that you all should subscribe to Paul Hibbert! He’s hilarious and very informative: https://www.youtube.com/c/PaulHibbert

  2. Wonder if i can get my RCA tv to come on when I pick up my PS5 controller

  3. The first time I see a NFC tag really cool and useful. I must admit that I never thought that a NFC tag could have a real use in real life. Just loved it.

  4. I do think the controller automation is nice but most smart TVs have something that turns on the tv when you power up the tv and why else would you pick up a ps5 controller if you’re not going to use the ps5

  5. Burglars are going to have great fun with the automatic sliding door….

  6. I have a fun automation where I say hey google “lift off” and she replies: “yes commander undocking ship in 3,2,1… undocking” after that she turns off room light and turns on all my led lights, a salt lamp and my tv. Its fun and gets me in the mood to play space games.

  7. I was most interested in the PS5 controller pick up automation, which is awesome. And I am just getting into this stuff and NO expert at all. But could you use a Arduino board in line with the charging cable to test when the voltage draw changes. Then when it drops you would push the automations? I think that would be awesome since you would have no visible parts and could hind it anyway on the cable or near the power adapter.

  8. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  9. I got interested in home automation after seeing a video of a disabled girl using an eye gaze communucation device to talk to alexa and control lights, fans, etc. My daughter is quadriplegic and non verbal so of course I wanted to give her some control over her environment. I started putting smart plugs on everything, an echo in every room, etc. Last year she got her communication device and she still needs lots of practice, but she's learning to use it for alexa.

Aside from that, I use the sound detection routine to trigger an alert to my phone if anything in her room beeps. I can hear some of her machines throughout the house, but not all, and then of course if I step outside for any reason, I can know exactly what's going on inside. This is also helpful if I have to leave her at home with someone else. I can of course watch her cameras, but it's good to know when her machines alarm so I can call and assist if they need help. Basically my whole house is set up to make caring for her easier.

  10. 4:26 always wanted this, but needs to be burglar proof. Perhaps facial recognition for the pet?

Actually, automation is very weak. Hope this kind of automation will become accessible to anyone soon.

  11. Look in to the Span pwer panel and the smart vents for the house to keep rooms the desired temp

Whoever made the automated sliding door is just asking to be robbed 😂

  12. 5:13 — Lovely! ♥ doing it now for my ps5! what a great idea!

    5 minute shower!!

Who can completely shower in 5 minutes!?

  13. 3:29 i love that one, thats useful in real life

  14. The dog thing might be a good idea to be combined with something like a Bluetooth tracker, to not open if the dog is not really on the mat 😀

  15. Our xbox is on our goggle home system and the xbox is connected to the TV and amplifier remotely. So I can turn the TV on and off via my voice. Nothing fancy, no extra equipment to buy and I can turn it off from my bedroom when I know my partner has fallen asleep on the couch and left the xbox/tv on.

  16. I have a gate in my house, and will totally have it automated…but i have dogs 😑 how can i automate them not to go out 😑

  17. Greetings to all, I have an automation I created. From New York City where I live, I start my boat in Florida regularly off my cellphone to keep everything charged up and running. I can see the motor running, and it has voice status output, besides complete cellphone controls. Even a year later, the boat is ready to go out for a good time.

  18. What happens when a raccoon or bobcat shows up to Jarron's backdoor? 🤔

  19. torille!!! Finland spotted

  20. Hi mate, Joe from Australia here! I have a question. Is there any device / sensor that can notify my when my non-smart house alarm goes off? I was thinking something like a noise sensor or something that I can put near my alarm siren that will trigger when it hears my alarm siren go off! Let me know 🙂

  21. I decided that telling Google or Alexa to turn off all my lights was so normal since that is build it. I simply setup a routine called, "Execute Order 66" which does the same thing but excludes some lights that I want to always stay on.

  22. @5:31 – Why is he using such a convoluted way to turn the TV on? My console automatically does it (displaying the correct HDMI source) when it goes ON by simply pressing the controller button…

  23. got the playstation one to i am just clicking the playstation button on the controller and the tv starts and takes me to the right chanel.
