Awesome Tips Scientific Tuesdays – Cool Magnet Trick

Get the shirts:
In this episode of Scientific Tuesdays, We will show you a very cool experiment using magnets, needles and some tape! Take some string and measure out the perfect distance to the magnet and then tape it off to a wall. You want to get the needle to float in mid-air using only the magnetic field as the force holding it up.

  3. You will also need some walls

  4. They don’t know their ABC’s

  5. then what ?rubish vido

  6. notification squad where you at? am i late?

  7. Dumbest video ever

  8. Just terrible

  9. I swallowed one of these needle while I was a first grader yiiikes…..ommfggg

  10. So…what do you mean?? Whats is magnet??Oh really…we have no idea

  11. ………and ?

  12. Magnetism does NOT occur when an item has more electrons than protons or vice versa. That's what you might call electric charge instead.

  13. Use some light copper wire instead of string and run some electricity down the wires for a cool jacobs ladder effect.

  14. 2016? Anyone?

  15. Lame

  16. Pretty cool. You could use see-through fishing line to make it look like they're just hovering there.

  17. Purpose?

  18. He was starting to set up the needles for some kind of cool trick…

    then the video ended

    ggff

  19. How does this video have over a million views? I thought it was going to be better than that… zzzzz

  20. Cool

  21. I even have a college degree yet did not know what magnetism really was. So, mind blown in the 1st 5 seconds; thanks!

  22. Клево (((((((((::::::::::

  23. Please get your facts right and please correct them in the video asap (at least with an overlay). Ferromagnetism is ultimately caused by a quantum property of electrons that is called "spin" (electrons actually do not really spin around themselves – the name stems from analogy). Ferromagnetism is NOT caused by an imbalance in electric charge. You confused it with electrostatic attraction and repulsion. Btw:.The needle sculpture looks cool.

  24. bet i could make that drunk and high atst

pretty much useless sobar tbh 😛

  25. Magnetism is caused by a moving charge, not by a net charge as described in this video. Net charge is responsible for electric fields, not magnetic fields. This video should be taken down.

  26. soo cool

  27. Should have a needle on both sides of string and have it "hover" between 2 magnets

  28. four times, several does not make.

  29. Ouch. Bite your nails much?

whats the point of this "experiment"?

  30. 27 aprill is my birtgday

  31. if only it can orbit…

  32. One fell when I touched the screen and thought I was magical

  33. So what if I swallow the magnets, will that turn me into Magneto?

Well… That was quite the excitement… Not really… However, it does remind me of ZA WARUDO TOKI WO TAMARE!

  34. more electrons than protons or vice versa is not how magnets work

  35. this is so fake… U CAN SEE TEH STRINGS im joing

  36. Magnetism is dependent primarily on the spin of electrons around nuclei and little about their own axis (if in a permanent magnet), not ionic attractions described in the first seconds of this video.

  37. super wack

  38. it is yellow

  39. lol this is the kinda shit u do when ur high👍

  40. That's not the cause of magnetism. You should correct this video or take it down so it's not misinforming people trying to learn.

  41. Бля, я в детстве такую же штуку мутил.. Давайте что-то интересней..

  42. I've done this with a cheap practice arrow, and a large magnet. i took the head off the arrow and put a small strong magnet in the tip glued it back on. and used a large ring magnet to make it float as if it was flying though the air but frozen in place. its pretty cool.
