First of all, I don;t care about trying to balance an egg on its end. But I am glad I tuned in to see how to scramble an egg. Obviously, I've been doing it wrong for over 60 years.
Why would I want to go to the trouble of getting a towel or cloth, tying it off with an egg inside then shaking it up to scramble it inside the shell? Just crack the egg and scramble the damn thing. Quick, easy and has stood the test of time.
If you can't fry an egg you have bigger problems than this.

For hard boiled eggs put a towel in the bottom of the pan water put eggs in there so it would not crack the outside of the egg
