I still have DOSBOX to run Borland Turbo Basic, just because I know how to use it! I have also used MSDOS 3.3, UNIX, CP/M and HP Extended BASIC.
Windows 98 was the reason I changed to Mac.

every government office computer had 3d pipes. becuase nobody was working.
That's me trying Win 10 after 11 years of using Mac.
Who else was elementary school getting that "illegal operation" error message and immediately shut the computer down and hide
Oh kids…my first computer used windows 95. Then went to windows 98. Windows 2000. I remember somehow getting windows xp on that computer. The first computer I ever bought on my own was back in 2008. It had windows Vista.
Wow. My first OS was 3.1. I spent ALL my time messing with qbasic
I think the thing I miss the most about old WinOS is the ease of doing driver nukes.

If anyone got with some Microsoft Bob back in the 95 days and had your parents always wondering why your computer crashed constantly lets talk
Say "Jesus Christ" in the sound recorder and play it backward.
Back when you could still do LAN gaming. Miss that something fierce.
Windows 98 was great back in the day compared to everything else available. Love these young brainiacs making fun of it. It helped pave the way for what we have today.
Single best things about win98 is the simple but clean and customizable start menu, I could literally have all my fav progs arranged just a few seconds away and dispense with any clutter. Later start menus such as winxp, win7, win10 are all utter tripe I can't believe the way Microsoft made the start menu crapper and crapper instead of improving it.
I still have a win98 rig which i sometimes hookup for retro gaming and a bit of windows nostalgia. Love the fact that there is no activation BS.

comodor 64 was my first pc
