Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
@Kurre.
Why god do they have to look so damn ugly
0:50 eww. The electric chassis could probably be used to make motorhomes. Electric motorhomes. I like that idea. Wow think of that clean idea. No way I'd consider a diesel or gas one but electric? Definitely.
ARVL to the moon
FYI. I was a package car driver at UPS for forty years. They were never called trucks. PACKAGE CARS!
Ion see why yall like this clown
I noticed that he thought about the fleet owners rather than their drivers!
No one knows what the next Tesla is going to be.
Say “Low, Flat Floors” real fast. 😅
We have an Amazon warehouse near us and when they release the trucks, they flock to the local Shell gas station. All the pumps are used.
Companies will save money, but the consumer won't and that's the f'ed up part about it. Apple HQ has been on solar panels for YEARS, don't see the iPhone and computers getting cheaper. They just fancied themselves at keeping it all the same price for a while…… However, im all got making the job easier and smoother and safer for the driver.
A metro arrives at the station. 200 people get in, 200 get out, it takes <2 minutes. Strap a 1/2 ton battery to each of these 400 persons. Still like EVs?
Big Brown had electric vehicles into the 80's in Manhattan. Phased out due to a laundry list of issues, not the least being battery degradation vs. gross vehicle weight when loaded with deliveries and then pickups. Cold weather (snow) above the Mason-Dixon line will probably relegate EV use to the sunbelt. You'll also need to take into account battery drain as operators request (Teamsters demand) a climate friendly cargo area.
Tesla will build a delivery van made of stainless steel. It will not rust, it will not dent, it will last forever.
I'd like to get one for a camper/tiny home
A lot of talk, but no meat.
Electric Delivery Trucks were common in the 1910s, 1920s, and 1930s.
Ironically they use to use electric vehicles for deliveries in the cities into the mid 1930's. Just think if industries had continued to use them how much quicker the technology would have developed.
Try Duluth Mn , in January.
excellent points
Sure CNET. Whatever you gotta say to make clickbait headlines. But you sure are gonna milk every Tesla product that comes out to stay relevant, just like everyone else. Prove me wrong.
He Sounds like Jay Leno
Excellent points I wish the Elon fanboys and EV crusaders would step back and realize that EV can be incorporated into our world where practical but they shouldn't be force down our throat where they are not wanted or practical.
it is getting the pollution out of our cities that is important. I saw electric UPS trucks in Amsterdam 3 years ago. We need to make all the utility company trucks electric also, and the police cars and ambulances etc. The Post Office is still putting $billions into new diesel trucks! Who cares about the price of fuel, what is the price of peoples health? Thanks for this video.
Make the Lithium Batteries as easy to replace as a car battery. Lithium Batteries don't last as long and need to be replaced more often.
Arrival will be next big thing UPS have ordered 10,000 van Nobody hardly knows about them and the stocks are so low right now I am filling my boots
They go slowly, not slow.
Spot-on reasoning. UPS & FEDEX, travel my neighborhood multiple times a day. If they aren't using petroleum or gas, that should ease the fuel price for the rest of us who still retain our gasoline POVs for whatever reason. The electric POV market in 2022 is still comparably sparse in selection & pricey due to logistical shortages…Unfortunately, 2023 won't be much better, so giddyup old Corolla, I'm keeping & babying you far beyond the 300,000 statue miles mark.
did he really use the word Tesla as a clickbait???? LOLOLLLLL sad. bullish on TSLA if he has to use the brands name to attract views.
All great points. Delivery vans, school buses, municipal buses, etc are all far more practical and effective use cases for electrification than personal vehicles are for many reasons. We don't have to have every private home own a tesla to massively reduce pollution from ICE's
Do they have ac? Drivers need ac
I'll be excited about electric trucks when we stop burning coal. Until then, NOT a solution. & I won't ever be excited about electric cars. We need to eliminate private car ownership (unless you are legally disabled & cannot get by using public transportation) as they will never eliminate congestion & they strip the earth of rare earth elements & further destroy the environment. We need robust public transportation infrastructure to the point that we can mostly eliminate private car ownership; this would involve things like an on demand fleet of autonomous vehicles for small trips that can also carry your groceries or whatever shopping you have to do & investment in trains & busses for longer trips. & remember this fleet of vehicles would be so so much smaller than the personal ownership fleet because instead of being parked ALL the time waiting for an owner to use them, these vehicles drop you off & are out transporting more people, not waiting around for you. & when you're done you simply order up another pick up.
One thing that comparison chart didn't include was the far lower cost of EV maintenance.
