I have a question about the rtx 4080 gpu connection to the psu. Since the rtx 4080 has a 12 pin connection to the gpu and then splits into 3 connections then you connect them to the PCie 8 pins connectors on to the psu but my RM850x has 2 PCie cable and each has two connections so is it safe to connect the other PCie to the psu and connect the last 8 pin that came with the rtx 4980? Or must the three connections be from one cable that splits into 3???

Locally, you can find RTX 3090s, non ti, for $600 to $700. I just bought one for $600 before Christmas.
I might be the only one but I ended up buying a 4080 for 1400 The price is high but where I am a 4090 is at 2200 and cuda and dlss and RT makes this a solid card for UE 5 games for the next 5 years.
Really debating on getting a 4080/90. I really want to game at 4K, my 3070 is good but man I want more performance but I’m not sure if it’s worth it?

so i bought a whole new pc with the 4080 upgrading from a 2070 super, and i got everything for christmas so did i get scammed? money isn’t unlimited for me but i am fairly wealthy so the 4080 was affordable and i thought i was smart when ordering a high performance gaming pc.
I mean it’s better than the 3080 do you think it’s not gonna jump at least 300 dollars lol people don’t understand business that’s y they won’t own even a 4090 let alone a 4080😞

If you could get 4080 at msrp or 1200 euros it would be a tank. Add in the new 3.0 dlss and this will last you much more than your last gpu (If games will continue to add that)
Do your own test but running the 4080 at 70% of power with MSI AB gives pretty much the same results as if powered at 100%. But with 100W less… Electricity bill is happy.

The only thing this test really shows me is that Cyberpunk and MW2 are both horribly unpolished buggy games that could really need some performance upgrades. The fault is not with the GPUs here, but with the games…
It's a great card. Yeah, it could be cheaper, but EVERYTHING is more expensive right now. Bought any eggs? I think going on and on about how the card "should" be cheaper is pointless. Again, the prices of everything are whacked right now, and comparing the pricing of ANYTHING to what is was 2 or 3 years ago – not sure where that puts us. And, it has one HUGE advantage – I was able to actually get one.
In short Nvidia is Greedy company and AMD is not better
