OMG!! 9:24 made my tea shoot out my nose 🤣🤣🤣
    little warning next time please!

  2. Wasted hours/days with cheap(er) "smart" lights… Enormous frustration. You couldn't give me more of those things for free!

Got Philips Hue… reliability is amazing. App is (relatively) great.

  3. Have you used Nanoleaf lights and how would you compare it to Philips hue?

  4. Why even have windows in the theater room? I don’t have any windows in mine

  5. Unifi Protect Cameras are exteremly over priced. They are just domestic cameras with the Ubiquiti overhead. That said, Reolink still have really bad issues in low light conditions, so if low light recognition is important, go for a 2MP or 4MP Dahua instead.

  6. OOH THE ZIGBEE!!!!

  7. Mostly I like my Kasa dimmer switches, especially the custom options and fade controls but they just get stupid and don't work right about 10% of the time. The 1 lutron diva dimmer (with pico) I've installed has been 100% reliable but it's $70 for the lutron vs $15-$20 for the kasa. Also amazon routines will not trigger off a lutron switch but it will off a kasa. Bottom line I install Lutron for 3 ways or places I want to add a 3 way and Kasa for the single pole switches.

  8. I'm in the boat where I'm getting my bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering and then going to probably find a good first job, my first business I want to take care of is starting with creating a good smart Home in my parents basement where I can take the rest of what I invested with me to my own house

  9. when are you going to make the Tesla Model 3/Y review???

  10. I'm happy with the meross garage door opener, also works w/ my apple watch.

  11. Aw man. Where were you when I put over 10 WeMo switches in my house in 2021?

  12. Reed, what brand of doorbell camera have you settled on for the moment?

  13. I’ve heard that the author of that book is the wisest man in all of Great Britain but he’s also not to be trusted…

  14. Hi Reed, great video 👍🏻👍🏻. I wouldn’t go cheap on a smart plug, I read a review on Amazon about a Meross smart plug that went faulty, when the person opened up the plug they found a 10A relay inside instead of a 16A relay (soc,et outlets are rated to 13A in the uk. I only use them to switch light loads like for E.g. trailing sockets, Christmas lights., slow cooker, my CPAP machine, bedroom pedestal fan which I have set up on a routine which utilises the temperature sensor in the Echo. When the room goes above 25 Deg C the fan will come on. The cameras are ok not great but good.

  15. What are your thoughts on replacement smart outlets? I've been seening a lot more of them lately

  16. Lol. Thanks Reed. Paul's gonna get you back. 😁

  17. Have you and paul ever hung out?

  18. I laugh at the myq reliability… Hate hate hate their service.

  19. I spent less than $5 on a Sonoff switch to control my garage door.

  20. I have Wemo outlets. Zero issues.
