Just got the Linkbuds yesterday with a black Friday deal at 99€ and I love them… They even updated to support multi point straight away.

The Sony's have made my ears sore especially to the R/H one I now have an infection. Luckily I bought them cheap second hand.

Waiting for AirPods Pro 2
I've just bought a pair of Linkbuds. They do not fit my ears. I've tried every size fin they offer. XS and S are too small and they wiggle out while I'm talking. M is almost the size I need, but they start to hurt my ears after a short amount of time. I've also noticed that the sit too low in my ear and it muffles the sound.
Unfortunately, living in Poland, not even Amazon always used returns. So, I'm stuck with these things that I can't wear.
I really love linkbuds but unfortunatelly my ears are not loved by them, in any fitters, it falls quite often. because it is naturally ambient sound mode, I'd like to wear them outside but I'm so afraid of losing it. Sony please create some variation of fitter like XXL or different shape ….

Do not buy linkbuds before you check they fit in your ears, Not suitable for small ears! really disappointed from Sony that did not even bother to inform about the limitation

I own(ed) both because I like the concept of open ear pods 🙂
But even Apple doesn't communicate the main difference between the Airpods 1-3 (open so no ANC possible) and Pro (closed like all other In-ears).
Anyway – you brought it exactly to the point for these canditates – It's all about the fit which is really different:
Sadly the Sony LinkBuds don't want to fit in my ears without starting to hurt after some minutes, regardless of the fins i used.
Also the Airpods 3 are not fitting perfectly and start to hurt or fall out after some hours (phone conferences in the home office).
Finally the good old Airpods 2 (and the SoundPeats TrueAir 2 with good sound but terrible call quality) have the best fit for my ears.
So I had no choise: I needed to decide for the AirPods 3 since the sound is better than the Airpods 2 (and their batteries got weak due to the heavy use in the last years).
But one thing needed to be said after multiple tries: the spacial audio feature is completely useless – it makes music much more worse and I am not watching any cinema movies with my Airpods 😉

I bought the linkbuds yesterday before I used airpods so in my opinion linkbuds have a better fit,sound quality and mic quality and if you are an android user the linkbuds suits more then the airpods and the last airpods don't stay while working out in gym but these linkbuds do stay in
$180 a pair for either model? I have $22 JLabs Go Air Pops and they fit and work great. If I lose them, I can buy replacements 7 times for the price of these others.
I just bought the 3rd g AirPods and they are great but there’s nothing innovative about them as compared to Sony

Definitely going for the Sonys
I got the Airpods 3 and like them. However, after placing them in my ear they will randomly fall out without any indication they are loose. Sometimes its after 30 mins, sometimes longer. They just slowly creep out and fall. They sound good and are comfortable…but staying in is important.
My state is trying to murder me and are recklessly slandering my name.

I'm sorry I think it's ridiculous that these airpods still have the insanely ugly stem. They look soooooo … yeah well ridiculous. Bro I'd be embarrassed to wear that crap but people pretend it's OK because it's apple. If any other company did that we'd make endless fun of them.
Also these seem to be copying to old wired airpod design without the silicone rubber tip. Those type of earbuds are the absolute worst. I'd your earbud doest have a silicone / foam or gel tip that goes into your ear it's basically worthless. I've NEVER ever been able to fit an earphone like that in my ear
Sony links look fugly too BTW. They needed to copy XM4s style only make it smaller and more comfortable.
I use both several hours a day each and they both have uses that make them useful in certain applications. I do use the Linkbuds for nighttime and sleeping as they are very comfortable. However, during the day, I do like wearing the AirPods 3 for listening to music while being able to hear. I never use the wide area tap feature for Linkbuds. As I use these for sleeping or sometimes chew with them in and that activates the taps.

AirPods don't fit me, they literally fall out if I turn my head. I wish Apple made "XL" versions for us ogres with elephant ears. But maybe the Sony's will work out.
