In may of 2014 I opened a PSU and tried to scrap raw components. (capacitors at the time)
I received an electrical shock that proceeded to my left shoulder with force.

I actually was thinking "They faaaaaked it" until the Coke dripped out of that GPU. Then my heart sank a bit.
I did some work on my laptop, now it only works if it is left off for more than 4 days, or if I open it, remove battery, press and hold power button and then put everything back, it works. Also it always requires that I press the power button for 8 seconds for it to power up, (instead of just a quick press). Local repair lab is also confused. Any suggestions?

Long story, but my PC took a garden hose, fully open at the faucet worth of water to it. 3090 FE survived thankfully.
My friend needs this video. He's spilled vodka and orange down the back of my widescreen tv. Purple paint all over the inside of his PC. Those are the two he left me to deal with but he's spilled lots more stuff in lots more things. He's a F&^%$ing menace!

I missed (ignored) the "Don't try at home" line when working on my PSU for an old NAS. I knew what I was doing and what not to mess with, also took precautions… I don't recommend it but I did it.

That's nothing at all. After the flood in Germany in the Ahr-Valley, der8auer saved several PCs that were completely covered in water, full of mud and some of them were left standing there for a few months. Even if some parts like the Fans didn't worked anymore most componatns still worked.
Came up late, our cat peed on my pc a while ago and it's getting more and more unstable and I get bsod pretty much everytime 🙁

isopropyl alcohol creates an azeotrope with water and causes the two to evaporate with a much lower vapor pressure than normal. translation: it dries way faster. what i do in this situation is actually make a 50/50 solution of deionized water and alcohol together and it makes a better wash and then rinse with 99% alcohol bottle. This has the added effect of being exothermic, which means the solution warms up on its own. warm is good for dissolving sugar and stuff. 🙂
When it comes to Distilled water, don't drink it. It'll wash away the salt in your body
