RT is gonna be decent.
honestly having a 7800xt and using AFMF and FSR3 mod for cyber punk and getting 120 fps with max RT is pretty good and not worth getting even a higher tier GPU cuz why do you need a higher fps
crap
I don't understand, my 7800 XT is playing 1440p ultra settings at basically 165 fps constant instead of that 90 fps
Hi I have a question aio liquid cooler that have thermo paste on them is it better to add more on the cpu of what ever is on the aio liquid cooler is enough?
I'd much rather go for that 7800xt
Guys I'm confused between asus tuf and nitro plus I found asus tuf with 509$ and nitro plus 570$ it looks gorgeous and durable but expensive
What do you recommend?
Tbh er is overrated rn
I honestly think AMD has pretty good RT, but likely inferior to nVidia based on my experiences with my 3080 and 6800XT. It ain't a bad deal, now if they can catch up in AI …
Its 2024 and i still dont care about those fancy ray tracing. all i need is an optimized title for pc which doesnt run like hot garbage
You can use framegen in every game on the 7800xt due to the driver implementation switch in the Adrenaline software, so you could probably push some smoother frame with RT in some of these games.
IMO hardware RT only makes sense if the game has a 'light' implementation or you are running a 4090, particularly if you like to play graphically intensive games above 60 FPS (90 FPS 1% lows are my target).
Have an AMD card forget RT and play with Native res+ FSR Quality
Have an Nvidia card play with DLSS Q+RT at a lower fps but still playable.
i said it before and i'll say it again, it's not gaming i'm worried about for Radeon because Radeon can game just fine, it's life after modern gaming when it gets too slow overtime i'm more concerned about
Next video challenge. Make any video and stand still while talking.
I am getting the m18 amd advantage with the 7900m and couldnāt care less about ray tracing
Iām very happy with my 7800xt. Iām glad I didnāt go for an Nvidia card for a hundred dollars more.
I know it's a different class of GPU, but I've been thrilled with my Merc 310 7900XTX no matter the settings. I've got it clocked upwards of 3100mhz but I've been playing absolutely everything at 4K Ultra and even with ray tracing, I've had no complaints. Running DDR5 6000 CL30-36-36-68 and a 7800X3D.
FPS > RT
I had 3 AMD cards for my pc in three years. RX 580 8GB, 6600XT, and 6700XT. All the cards were amazing when it came down to gaming, but it didnāt meet the quality i wanted when it came down to streaming. I got my 4070 back in October of 2023 for 440 usd, and i love this card. Only thing I didnāt like was the Nvidia programs, but the Nvidia app fixed all that. Nothing wrong with any GPU, it just depends on the price. Just look for the good deals, and jump on them.
nvidia is better
I have RT reflections, sunlight, and shadows turned on (RT lighting turned off) at 1080p all-ultra settings with a 6900XT (CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x), and my average FPS is around 60 with 1% low at 45 with NO FSR turned on.
I think high-end 6000 series AMD cards can do RT well enough at 1080p.
I would like to see what happens if you Brute force the RT with a 7900XTX?
Without watching the video, I will guess the 7800XT can use RT at pretty acceptable fps (consistent 60-70fps) while using FSR-Q upscaling. In titles that support FSR FG I bet you can even get some decently high refresh rates. Overall, the 7000 series Radeon cards can use RT as long as you temper your expectations. Probably you will get the best RT experience from the Radeon cards by utilizing only a couple of RT features at a time (RT reflections and RT shadows for instance), combined with FSR-Q upscaling (with FG where applicable). I could see getting consistent 90fps in a lot of titles with these settings.
Edit: So, after watching the video I will say my assumptions were pretty on the mark. Overall I think the 7800XT performed very well, but it did run about 10fps lower than I predicted. Still very playable though, especially if you just turn on some low RT effects in single player titles where it makes sense. Otherwise you're probably going to be better off just leaving RT disabled. Could potentially even bump the resolution up higher in certain titles without the RT.
I've been watching these videos about "becoming an AMD user" constantly so I want to ask, why do I hear more about AMD than Nvidia?
From what I've been told Nvidia has been sitting on their laurels after making gpu's like the 1000 series, which has kept up a while now without upgrades,
And AMD's lineup just caught up by the 6000's price/performance/efficiency.
Can anybody help breakdown Steam's hardware survey for me? Like why is the 3060 topping the chart? The RX6600 is even less used than the RX580.
What i take from this video is that Ray Tracing is like 8k we are still NOT there yet. All of the games i saw tested i saw very LITTLE benefit from turning RT on or at least the difference is so minimal it is NOT worth the massive hit to FPS. I've watched a lot of video with GPU comparisons (want to upgrade my GPU but the benefit from what i have is NOT worth any of the current gens costs ) even with a 4080 when you turn RT on you nearly loose half the FPS you had before. Can't wait for Intel to release their next series of cards to have more competition on the low end to mid. We all know Nvidia thinks low end is for the poors since they priced the 4060 at a awful price on release same with the 4060ti.
just got the new 7900 gre and it is great for the money love it no issues at all does everything great.
I just got a 7800xt for my first build and it does everything really well at 1440p. I managed to get a reference model too and I love it
I have a 6700 XT and it performs horribly worse than my 1660 Super I had before it, not sure if somethings disabled or wrong in my device drivers or something but if not then AMD is never getting my money again.
I think the ray tracing experience will be decent to good. I personally went with a 4080 Super because I came from a 1050 and really wanted to dive into raytracing and DLSS. That being said Iām going to guess these cards donāt disappoint in raytracing they just donāt do as well. But with better price to performance and more vram I donāt think you can go wrong either way š®
if cyberpunk its your main game its better nvidia. the game its too demanding in RT. other games that have RT are fine even with an AMD card if you get a 7800xt or above. in my opinon 60+ fps in any single player games its playable with any GPU.
Cyberjunk 1977 ran fine on my RX 6800 XT when I played it and beat the game in 2020.
So many have figured it out that now I can't afford to buy a new gpu. I liked it better when everybody hated amd. I miss those ultra deals.
Sure AMD /can/ do ray tracing, but not better than NVIDIA. If youāre looking to be affordable, thatās all fine and dandy, any one shaming you should be ashamed of themself for doing so. BUT, if money is no option, just get yourself a 4090 š Same for CPUās. The 7800XD3 is awesome, but the 14700K is the same price and is a much better all around CPU. Iām not a fanboy of either nor do I care much for benchmarks. In real life day to day use, Intel + NVIDIA has always felt and worked much better, in my experience.
AMD > Nvidia
The 4070 Super is the better value. It's objectively the better product.
My AMD Adrenaline software tells me my "average" for Cyberpunk 2077 with my older RX 6900 XT at 1440p is —445.5 FPS.. Maybe I should turn the settings up some more and try some RT again Opps!
Not gonna invest a > 400 USD card to play a 29USD game…
I got my 7800xt hellhound at release and ive had no complaints, i usually play my games at ultra settings(1440p) with some ray tracing and usually get really good frames
12:00 on RX 6800XT RT On except las option cause it did nothing to visuals i have 80-100 fps depends on location but in 2k/FHD/1080p
Ah yes, the cope continues.
