So it's a brightness button
Been using faux HDR on my BenQ Mobiuz monitor for a few years. It's not the greatest, but it sure as heck is convenient by being enabled with the push of a button. I pretty much play every game with it on, and I don't have to deal with support/Windows issues.

Why does this video look so bad? All the colors look weird and evertything that should be white is more grey?? It looks like ungraded flat footage.
16-bit color space? Woah. I thought true 10-bit panels were high end.
Could this be a reason for the RTX 3050 6GB to exist? I run a 6800xt and this seems kinda cool. I just don't know how the computer would react to having both AMD and NVIDIA drivers on it at the same time.
Should have done performance benchmarks as well. Plenty of people from many sources have confirmed a massive 10-20% FPS loss when using RTX HDR which is definitely not worth it.
Except for the fact that nvidia is killing game streaming and sunshine is overtaking it

Linus is watching HDR with the type of guy that tells you on Reddit that anything but R-tings accurate settings is “ruining” your image, don’t you dare to increase the contrast a bit by lowering black level or sharpen the image with an filter , blasphemy.
Do you feel the image looks a bit washed out and not very colorful? Then you don’t like how real life looks like , because you are already getting a rral image!
I hate those accuracy nazis.
Guys starting with accurate settings is the way to go , but after that , adjust to your personal preference!
I'm watching this video on my phone which has an amoled display with hdr support, but still the video get very yellowish. Can someone tell me what's the problem with my phone's display.

I for one hate HDR My monitors but the amount of bugs I have to deal with. Especially the Screen shoots being washed out. so I leave HDR off despite having a 4090 and HDR capable Monitor's.

As some one who hates high brightness, all hdr looks like to me is brighter whites and vibrant colors. Which I hate. Just means I have to crank the brightness down. Which my phone can do. But my monitor is already on 0% brightness, so hdr just hurts my eyes
