Frequent loss of Internet Connection
Planned obsolescence 😮
I have had my router for 11 years 😠until today it has giving me problems
lol my router is 14 years old….
mine is 3mps
Coul it be the routers problem for delayed notification when im connected to my wifi it delays but when i connect to someone else’s wifi it works fine
I only get new routers when my internet speeds surpass the router standard. That's why I am still, and will be for quite some time, on 802.11n
I bought a Orbi mesh system about 6 months ago and I am supposed to get 1G when plugged in which is close when I test on my laptop. Wifi is another story. With over 40 devices in my home connected wifi I can only get about 700 Mbps when I am sitting 3 feet away from my router. Most people tell me that is very good but knowing I'm paying for 1G speed I would like wifi to be closer to 900 Mbps if possible.
Happen to me, I'm pay 80 bucks for 400mb and only got 100mb because of my router until I bought a recent one with wifi 6
Reset your Wi-Fi adapter on your computer, then proceed to bypass it completely using an Ethernet connection
I'd wait for a WiFi 6e router since they're right around the corner.
I have R7000 and max download speed on 5Ghz i get 620mbps
Where’s Dong Ngo?
My router stops broadcasting wifi every few days. The weird thing is that all other routers on the same channel also stop broadcasting according to my wifi analyzer.
No need replacing if you use a fibre connection
No it's time to change my residence place, because my ISP can provide maximum 25mbs and I just can pay for 4mbs.
Is there anything one should do with the old or out dated router before tossing out or giving away? Any security concerns or other issues to consider? Thx.
Easiest way to tell is when you pay for 500meg download and you get that with a direct connection, but your router is only capable of moving 100 megs.
How come you "reboot" wifi-drivers, and then test on a wired connection? This makes no sense
I’ll replace it when dong Ngo does
Reminds me of the dude from the BeeGees
I'm still using 2 old Netgear R7000 routers with a modded Asus Merlin XWRT firmware. I'm linking them via wired AI Mesh connection. I'm not upgrading until WiFi 6e and at least 5gbps switches become more prevalent.
