We’ve seen a lot of 3D printed supports for soft tubing to make it look cleaner, but finding 3D printed hardline was a challenge. So naturally, we decided to try it ourselves. Any guesses as to how long it will last under pressure?

Comments

  1. Thanks for pointing out the issue with the Sharge sponsor read, we're removing that short portion from this video and we'll reshoot it for future integrations.

  2. is that a dreamcast?

  3. Ok but why does it look like my chipolata?

  4. wait do I see the beard is returning?!

  5. You could to a tube in shape of a super detailed chinese dragon or other grotesque shaped thing

  6. Here I was considering the funds and then the choices for my first pc since 2007, like 4080s/4090 or waiting for 5080, 4k oled or 4k qd , thinking it is reasonable to use mortgage funds leftover to get them – to see folks with waay to much money to burn on water 😅 what a time to be a YouTuber!

  7. Water cooling is an efficient cooling method widely used for computers and various electronic devices, including gaming consoles and high-performance computers. Water cooling relies on its thermal conductivity, where heat is transferred by a liquid from the components that need cooling.

    How Does Water Cooling Work?

A water cooling system typically consists of the following main components:

Water Block: This element directly contacts the component that needs cooling, such as the CPU or GPU. The water block is usually made of copper or aluminum, as these materials are excellent conductors of heat. The internal surface of the block is designed to maximize heat transfer to the liquid.

Pump: The pump circulates the coolant through the system. The liquid passes through the water block, where it picks up heat, and then moves it to the radiator.

Radiator: The radiator's task is to dissipate the heat from the coolant. The liquid flows through the radiator, which has a large surface area and is equipped with cooling fans to help disperse the heat into the air.

Tubes: The tubes connect the various components of the system, ensuring the free flow of the liquid. The tubes can be made of flexible plastic or rigid metal.

Coolant: The liquid used in the system is typically a special coolant containing additives to prevent corrosion and algae growth.

    Advantages and Disadvantages

    Advantages:

More Efficient Heat Dissipation: Water cooling is generally more effective than traditional air cooling, especially for high heat-generating components.

Quieter Operation: Water cooling is usually quieter because the fans don't need to run at as high speeds as with air cooling.

Aesthetic Appeal: Many users find water cooling systems aesthetically appealing, particularly when using colored fluids or lighting elements.

Complexity: Installing a water cooling system is more complicated and time-consuming than air cooling.

Costs: Water cooling systems are generally more expensive than air cooling solutions.

Maintenance: Water cooling systems require regular maintenance, including changing the coolant and cleaning the system.

    Application in Gaming and Consoles

Water cooling is often used in high-performance gaming computers and sometimes in gaming consoles. For example, some users build custom water cooling solutions into their Xbox One or PlayStation consoles to achieve better heat dissipation and quieter operation, especially when overclocking the consoles.

Overall, water cooling can be an excellent solution for those seeking maximum performance and efficient cooling for their electronic devices, though its complexity and cost should be carefully considered before implementation.

  8. Jilabi Indian sweet look like that spiral

  9. THE NARUTO PC!!!

  10. 8:50 custom mould? you mean like the spiffing brit PC?

  11. 3:34 Shit, I took a whiff of the smokey tube, how long do i have left?

  12. Glass blowers have entererd the chat

  13. I like Your new look Linus no hat and beard to me you look more profrssional

  14. I mean PLA isn't the only material you can print 😛

  15. If you dont do an open loop nobody else will, so I think thats enough reason to do it

  16. All fiberglass boat builders around the world look at you in confusion … yeah resin works 😀

  17. K next one needs to be a toaster

  18. Oh hey there's an intro

  19. They actually did it. The Uzumaki PC

  20. DreamCast

  21. Feels weird that there wasn't a bit at the end where Linus hooked it up to a monitor and stuff and checked the temps. Feels like how these videos usually work.

  22. There are no labour costs in installing hard tubes.. it's the most fun part in building a system. There are also no labour costs on playing afterwards

  23. Your PC should NOT look like this and YOU SHOULD NOT watercool your PC at all… You do it at your own risk, air cooling is as efficient or better unlike whatever this is in the video… NEVER TOUCH WATERCOOLING UNLESS YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL BECAUSE THERE IS NO REAL WORLD BENEFIT FOR YOU AND YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR COMPONENTS CUZ YOU DO NEED TO CLEAN THE LOOP QUITE OFTEN, NOT ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR…

  24. That looks super cool. Fake oven sleeper PC with water-cooled "burners" when? 😄

  25. 9:55 YES!!!

  26. 7:01 Just like a young child
