I wish LG releases a glossy version because I don't like the ASUS at all. No speakers, no FHD mode, more expensive and a goofy design made for a 16 years old cyberpunk anime boy
I prefer Samsung panels in general, LG are overrated.
But… my channel is sponsored by Asus…
There are plenty of OLED monitors, the problem being they are the latest cash cow for monitor companies. Basically vastly overpriced.
The prices they ask for OLED monitors, you could buy a 50 inch OLED TV for similar prices…
I will pass on OLED monitors until the prices reach sane levels, or just buy an OLED TV, possibly for less!
Its quite a mood point if you dont have both.
I just cant get used to the redness of the qd oleds. Thats why i chose the LG
Alienware is way cheaper in UK, + you can buy it with 0 interest rates, financially more appealing
optimum did a side by side comparison as well and he certainly did not find much of a difference between these 2 monitors, granted that the LG came up on top due to the 480 mode that you can switch to on the fly.
Anyone know where to get that live wallpaper 0:08 i need it 😯
I'm keen to see what you think of the gigabyte Aorus and the other MSI (the more expensive one with the terminator brain built into it)
Glossy finish beats matte coating all day every day!
Nice monitor!!
I’m hoping LG releases a version of this monitor with glossy coating
No Dolby vision? No likey.
It’s okay. Daddy loves everyone. 😅
Bro called this dull in it design when this is literally peak design. None of that over designed gamer RGB garbage. Just plain and good looking.
Asus PG32UCDM feels to me is the flagship of top monitors to get. Next to that is MSI URX and this last lol
They missed an opportunity with this display.
A 1440p unscaled 360hz mode would have been ideal for almost all games. The image would be about 21 inches, perfect for lots of gaming, and 1440 is a better resolution for most games. Finally 360hz is a bigger jump than 360 to 480 is, so you get most of the advantages.
SPONSORED by ASUS.
BTW good luck if you need to pull out a WARRANTY CLAIM 😬 sry had too (tbh I would rather by LG C3 on sale for casual gaming, you can get another monitor for fast paced fps and still have some money left for the price of these ones… Bonus is the TV lol)
I have a second hand dell monitor, it works well enough and was a tiny fraction of the price. Fair play for not pushing BS hype.
Good review! Love the real world aspect! (Just thinking it will be funny in 30 years when people look back and laugh at our sophisticated technology, like we see CRTs and 100lbs rear projection 720p TVs from early 2000s).
Waiting for another live stream with Carl and superchats… You're better off script, imho.
Thanks for everything
Asus does almost everything better.
Apple is still holds the crown for laptops.
since the 3423dw i've known that qd-oled is the superior tech, burn-ins pending. In addition to a wider color gamut of quantum dot, the color volume of WOLED's just abysmal, once the 4k QD-OLEDs came out i jumped on it and i'm not looking back.
As someone who tried the AW3225QF, PG32UCDM, and this one, I prefer the GS95UE for my environment. Not being able to control the light or open my windows is not my favorite with the QD-OLEDs.
Saving up for a 5090 and the next gen version of either of these around this time next year. Probably glossy finish.
Thanks for the review. I have the ASUS on back order and appreciate you spelling out your preferences so clearly. Anxious to lay my hands on this beast but don't think it will happen until June. Sigh…
In Australia, the Alienware 4K OLED is 1000 dollars cheaper currently than the LG and the Asus so it does not make sense to buy the other versions
10:31 you were doing so well and then you ruined it
Stop being a company shell please
It’s a horrible finish and absolute trash for $1300, just buy the Asus one or any other QDOLED as that matte finish is a deal breaker
That and also LG being greedy by not introducing MLA to their panels they could copy over their tv division but noooo for some odd reason they decide to not also include their tv finish but also not introduce MLA to the scene
I’ve tested both and the PG32UCDM blows this away. I play in a closet so completely light controlled and quiet and the fan on the 32GS95UE is audible and very similar to the 27GR95QE I owned before.
I bought this monitor recently and I’m loving it
Then again, Asus is supposed to release this panel with a glossy finish
And woleds have deeper blacks, so better for general media consumption
the matte coating kills it for me. i hope there's a glossy (but not ridiculously glossy) version.
Is the anti glare coating of this monitor the same as lg 27gp950?
I have 27gp950, but its coating is like semi-glossy (not quite matte!) and I can see myself in it vaguely!
thanks for great review
I had the ASUS and the orange tint you get from HDR mode is absolutely crap. You cant change the colour temp to your liking, being locked out of changing settings imo is ridicules. Glossy panel aside, looking at qd oled as a whole and the amount of issues with the display being prone to micro scratches and even cleaning the display given you issues id personally stay away. I have the LG on preorder so will judge for myself but qd oled is not the one
32" is too small they need to make a 38" 16:9 OLED
I've been looking to buy the Asus PG32UCDM for about a month now, but I can't find one. Everywhere I look, it's out of stock. Where is a good place to get one?
I love matte coating in this display
I have this LG and going from a older LCD 4k to this new LG its way sharper in game its like going from 1440p to 4k. i don't understand why this is but its very noticeable in fine lines and textures and color range shows the detail of objects much better. Ive started to play older games more because they look so good now a huge surprise. these new oled's are a must i was not getting the value out of my games and my high end pc hardware. 240hz its very smooth and competitive and also no ghosting everything is snappy and clear when moving around in fps games even at lower refresh rates
It feels very much like each of these 32" 4K 240hz monitors has been deliberately gimped by the manufacturers so that they all appear slightly different. Look at the caveats of these new 32" monitors. Asus' model does not support Dolby Atmos since it has no eARC socket. The Gigabyte Pro model is the only model to full 80gbps Displayport 2.1 but does not support Dolby Vision or have an eARC for Dolby Atmos passthrough. Then you have the Alienware model which does have an eARC socket for Dolby Atmos passthrough but it has that god awful active cooling fan and its curved. And here you have the LG model which has the best type of OLED technology (MLA) yet is gimped by a horrid matte finish on the panel and doesn't support Dolby Atmos passthrough or Dolby Vision. Lastly you have the MSI model is probably the most vanilla of the bunch. It feels like all those models have been slightly sabotaged, cartel style where each manufacturer has agreed to not give their model all the bells and whistles so's not encroach on each others profit margins. If one of these manufacturers decides to go rogue and include all the special features (Dolby Atmos passthrough via eARC, Dolby Vision support, a SPDIF 5.1 connector, MLA glossy panel, specialised non-active heatsink, full Displayport 2.1 80gbps, it'd be the only model consumers would need to buy.
Ultimately there’s more choice for consumers and competition drives prices down so I’m all for this product being on the market.
5:19 no that’s a horrible advise , DLSS adds input latency which in turn won’t sit very well with a competitive game
So dlss performance sure your getting more fps but at the cost of input latency which is really really bad for a competitive online shooter
Returned mine. For $1500 it just kept minimizing every time I loaded up a game.
So it was basically making my games unplayable and I had to return it and plug in my old monitor 💀
It only worked on the 480 hz mode which looked blurry
MAT Finish every Time (UK)
ASUS PG32UCDM IS KING OF 2024<3
