Banning should be possible, I don't need to see all the peach spam, however I think SHADOW banning is almost as offensive as some of the stuff Linus is objecting to. You're effectively stealing life away from someone who may have inadvertently fallen afoul of Linus' personal sensitivities. What if Linus accidentally banned them by mis-clicking when he wanted to ban someone else? What if that person happens to then write long, valid, well thought out contributions for, I don't know, years? If they are unaware that those contributions are hidden that time is stolen from their lives, which is more reprehensible than someone gaming the system by creating new accounts to get around being banned
This also got me with the 10gb 3080 and 12gb 3080. Not a huge performance difference however i was not wanting to build my own and no pre built manufacturers will tell you about the 2 different cards. Nvidia could be so much better if they would just change the name scheme and cut prices by 10 to 15%

36:07 in many countries at the airport you have duty free. If you have high VAT like in EU, around 20-22%, at the airport if you hold a ticket for a destination without VAT you are exempt.
If you purchase a 20k $ watch you might save 3000-4000$ at the airport.
Also some luxury stuff are not available for purchase in shops, like there are waiting lists of 2-3 years. If you find a Rolex Daytona at an airport for example you just get it, you pay 15k and you can sell it for 25k next day.

I think a fundamental and unsolvable problem is that marketing/advertising experts are also very good at marketing/advertising themselves. So they make disproportionate wages and have dispropprtionate amounts of power in the companys.
To the point where i blame them for the current state of the gaming and cinema industrys
I really wish many subscription businesses to fail, not because I hate them or for personal reasons, but because I’m fed up with everything being subscription based even when it doesn’t make any sense. I want my walking pad and my bike to be just that I don’t need a stupid subscription to come with it.
As a product and engineering leader I’ve been in countless executive meetings in the past decade and I’m well aware of the upsides for the company in offering a subscription model, but you can’t just stick a subscription on any crap and expect customers to be indefinitely fine with it. We need major failures of the model to get back to a reasonable dialogue in strategy which would just offer subscriptions where it makes sense.

About the shirts getting pre-shrunk… Yeah, honestly, I expect that on every shirt that's more than 15$… I don't care, stuff goes into the washer at 40° and that's it. Youtube should allow features that only allow comments from a certain percentage of watch time. This watch time should be resilent to just skimming through the video by dragging the timeline.

The more its brought up on the show and more negativity he brings to the show, it makes me like him and the show less.
Mention it once, state the policy and move on or just disable comments and get nothing if it bothers you enough to bring it up every week.
I also find the watch time metric suggestion ironic, because Linus on WAN show has multiple times commented on videos based just on the videos comments and not watching any of a video himself.
