I'm still holding out hope for the Unfolded Circle Remote 3. Touch screen is good for a large list of rarely accessed buttons or dynamic content, but for transport controls I definitely prefer physical buttons.
We are designing a hardware that can implement IR2Mqtt. This will be the first IR blaster dedicated to home assistants, eliminating the need to tediously learn every infrared code.
Pretty cool but I'll always prefer a remote I can feel and click without having to look at. Touch for play/pause and move up/down/sideways isn't for me. If we could have both it would be awesome.
